Safety light curtains are a possible solution for worker protection where risks cannot be eliminated by machinery design or mechanical guards. When a beam of light is broken, the machine or equipment stops, or other actions occur that prevent worker injury.

Safety Light Curtain is opto-electronic device in form of invisible wall, which detect any unintentional movement across it and gives signal to be used for activation of protective circuits. This Curtain is mainly used for safety of person in machinery which has potential to cause harm. Safety Light Curtain can be used as an alternative or addition to mechanical safety system and other form of traditional machine guards. The Safety Light Curtain is placed between a operator and machine so, if operator puts any part of his body into machine un-intentionally then some of the optical beams are interrupted and receiver generates trigger for controller section to stop the machine.

Safety Light Curtains [with microcontroller technology] for,

  • Hand Protection
  • Finger Protection
  • Body Protection

Technical Details:

Light Curtains are used to detect penetration of curtain by human or other objects. Light Curtains have to sections

  1. Transmitter Section
  2. Receiver Section

Safety Light Curtains are available with different beam combinations

i.e. 8, 16,24,32,40,48,56,64 etc. [to fit the height of curtain wall]

With various beams pitch i.e. 14mm, 20mm, 40mm etc and in different categories i.e. finger, hand, leg and head safety.

With 2m, 5m sensing range [The width of curtain wall]
